Why SPO providers use Act IDs

When reviewing a bond framework, SPO providers assess the activities an issuer proposes to finance. Each issuer describes activities in their own language. Without a shared reference, the same activity reviewed across dozens of opinions has dozens of different descriptions.

Referencing Act IDs in your opinion — alongside your own analysis — gives investors and data vendors a clear, stable link between the issuer's description and a standard activity reference they can use directly.

Framework review

When reviewing eligible use-of-proceeds categories, identify the corresponding Act ID for each activity and include it in your annex or summary table. This makes the opinion easier to parse programmatically and clearer to read.

Consistency across opinions

Offshore wind reviewed for one issuer should be recognisably the same offshore wind reviewed for another. Act IDs make this explicit — the same activity gets the same identifier regardless of issuer language.

Clarity for investors
